Moving Forward: Writing, Film, and Sustainability in New Mexico

It’s been a while since I last updated here—December 25th, to be exact. A lot has changed, and honestly, the past few weeks have been some of the hardest I’ve ever faced. But if there’s one thing I know, it’s that I can’t stop moving forward. Writing is what I do, and right now, I have more stories to tell than ever before.

I’ve been navigating a tough road, experiencing homelessness while trying to keep my goals in focus. Despite everything, I’m still determined to work in New Mexico’s film industry, ride fashion, and support local productions. I have an academic plan that includes pointed, structured collaboration with the city on sustainability efforts. This state has so much potential, and I want to be part of making it thrive.

Beyond that, I’m committed to my education, even though I’ve fallen behind at Prescott. It’s terrifying to think about picking things back up after the past few weeks, but I want to stay in school and get my master’s. I don’t know exactly who to reach out to yet or what steps to take, but I know I need to figure it out. And I will.

On the side, I’m looking at ways to contribute through social media—offering support to the industry on Facebook as a favor while building my own portfolio and presence again. If I’m documenting my journey, I might as well share it in a way that helps others too.

This is me, recommitting. To writing. To film. To sustainability. To my education. To figuring things out, one step at a time. If you have opportunities, advice, or just words of encouragement, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s build something real together.
