Healing the World Through Self-Healing: North Node in Leo, Part-of-Fortune in Leo

What might be your destiny?

In my last post, I explored the idea that self-healing holds the key to healing the world in these times of political strife, trauma, and uncertainty. Recently, a deep dive into astrology illuminated another layer of this journey—how my North Node, Part of Fortune, and the interplay between my Sun, Moon, and Rising signs might shape my path toward self-expression, leadership, and fulfillment.

Introduction: Self-Healing and World Transformation

With such an insanely lofty idea to examine and then apply, I turned to my birth chart for guidance. It’s the first time I’ve truly delved into the Leo influence in my chart—specifically its pull on my life and purpose. If I’m honest, it’s something I’ve probably run from until now. Yet, here I am, feeling utterly called to everything I’m doing and re-experiencing myself in the most startling way.

I am terrified.

A bit lonely, yes, but also having a fantastic time. I know I’m on the right path, but I wish I could be less conflicted, less endlessly sappy. Spending time alone has brought so much clarity, yet it’s incomprehensible to imagine anyone filling the space I’ve grown accustomed to. It’s different this time. For the first time, I feel prepared to move forward without heartbreak, even as I accept that I might never have romance in the traditional sense. There’s a distinct possibility that chasing this purpose will bring me pure bliss—and that might just be enough.

Astrology as a Mirror

After the year I’ve had, my focus is on pushing past self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and fear once and for all. I’m done wasting potential. This is my third and final act in the grand scheme o f my life, and I intend to leave a legacy—not just for my kids, but for all generations here on Earth today.

Astrology has become a mirror, reflecting my struggles and strengths. It’s guided me toward understanding myself and taking practical action, particularly in shedding old fears to step fully into my light.

North Node in Leo: Embracing Leadership and Creativity

The North Node represents the soul’s path and where we’re meant to grow over a lifetime. My North Node in Leo calls me to embrace leadership, creativity, and self-confidence. It asks me to shine, to be seen, and to develop my unique talents.

Yet my North Node was retrograde at the time of my birth. Retrogrades in a birth chart often signal karmic lessons—no surprise there. This aspect highlights the internal resistance I’ve faced, particularly with fully embracing the Leo essence in my life.

The 6th House governs daily work, routines, health, and service to others. Growth for me lies in weaving creative self-expression into practical, everyday life—aligning strongly with the cultural work and policy studies I’m pursuing in school.

But it’s a challenge. Integrating creativity into mundane routines has been a constant stumbling block. The deep-seated fears I’m fighting—of not being good enough, not being seen, being unable to express my potential—are lifelong battles.

Growth lies in finding joy in the process, not just the results. Creative self-expression within my work, health, and routines is my path forward to leave behind a better world for our kids.

Part of Fortune in Leo: Finding Fulfillment in Relationships

The Part of Fortune represents natural joy, fulfillment, and success. With this in Leo in the 7th House, my fulfillment is deeply connected to relationships that celebrate individuality, creativity, and talent. These partnerships—whether romantic, platonic, or professional—play a crucial role in helping me step into my best self.

However, my retrograde North Node suggests that old fears and self-doubt still hold me back. I’ve often hidden my creativity or felt pressured to serve others without outshining those around me. In this lifetime, my task is to embrace leadership and self-recognition, even in small, practical ways.

Aries Sun’s Role

My Aries Sun adds another layer to this story, driving me toward independence and bold action. However, my North Node in Leo calls for a different kind of leadership—one rooted in creativity, relationships, and consistent effort.

It’s a balancing act: embracing independence while leaning into partnerships that nurture my creative expression.

Practical Steps for Growth

The retrograde North Node requires deep reflection and inner work. I am committed to releasing old, toxic patterns that no longer serve me. My journey is about embracing creative leadership—alone and with others—through authentic relationships that support my growth.

Daily Routines and Creative Expression

  • Carve out time for creative work each day, even in small increments.
  • Practice self-affirmations to combat self-doubt.
  • Use tools like journaling or astrology to track progress and reflect on growth.

Questions to Reflect On

  • What’s holding you back from fully expressing yourself?
  • How can you integrate creativity and joy into your daily life?

The answers might surprise you.

Moving Forward: A Legacy of Light

The way I’ve had to surrender and let go this year has been excruciating, yet I feel myself changing in ways I like. Being in a shelter humbles anyone, but it’s also clarified my purpose.

Whether or not you believe in astrology, asking these questions can be powerful. For me, this journey has illuminated how self-healing and creative expression are intertwined. By addressing my fears and embracing leadership, I’m setting the stage for a life that feels fulfilling—and perhaps even joyful.
