This isn’t much better, but at least I am getting more down in the way of blog stuff than I have for many years. I am so embarrassed my blogs went out on Linked In! It was kind and encouraging of those who responded (at least one person did) but I was so embarrassed I didn’t see the whole question, but they had asked something about how I would be improving nonprofits and I have SO much to say – I should probably say something about how it’s coming…

…but in the meantime I may try out a few ideas here. It figures I am a bit rusty with some website stuff too. After awhile I gave up on attempting to make money as a good, ethical web dev since everyone seems to believe their 14-year-old-cousin can do it and I have had to go back-to‐the-drawing board on finding my worth and my limits…

…which surprisingly is a good segue to how I was encouraged to talk about how *I* myself might improve nonprofit governance.

This story begins with a notification on my phone I hadn’t seen in sometime. LinkedIn is my first foray into social media in quite sometime. I am taking up full-time writing while acquiring some professional certificates, and later will pursue a masters in what seems right at the end of this phase of my journey. Since I am also building an extensive portfolio for myself, it seemed to make sense to add my LinkedIn info into the module in the the theme I’m using and forget about it. (You see where this is going.)

So I had seen this who-knows-how-old notification that I had clearly ignored for days. I pressed the button, and the floor disappeared beneath me and my heart and stomach made their way through it. A knot formed in my throat. Unedited article drafts from WordPress had been published!!!

I have been getting up at five am most mornings to write-so-I-may-call-myself-a-writer, and apparently a few of those entries were published and shared automatically. I have been processing this moment and haven’t quite finished yet, but want to address it. It may take some time to fully process and I may share some of that later, but my next installment will likely address what I intend to do to improve nonprofits I work with.

With love,
